Nigeria network landscape

Nigeria is a complex network environment. Measure the path, not the assumption.

Performance can differ by network, city, routing path, peering arrangement, cloud region, CDN footprint and application architecture. Our Nigeria view is therefore methodology-first while coverage expands.

Coverage status

Coverage expanding

We do not currently publish a verified Nigeria IP-range or lookup-coverage statistic. Rather than present an inferred number as measured coverage, we are expanding and validating the reference dataset before making that claim.

Methodology first

What we check and how

Network

Latency, packet loss, jitter, DNS, TCP/TLS behavior and routing paths.

Edge & infrastructure

CDN and cache behavior, edge locations, cloud region, compute and load balancing.

Application

API latency, backend processing, concurrency and errors that shape the user experience.

Dependencies

Database and third-party dependencies such as payments, identity, messaging and other synchronous calls.

Lagos and local exchange

IXPN operates multiple points of presence across Nigeria, with Lagos as its primary hub and additional locations across other major economic centres. Local peering is one part of the path we consider when diagnosing Nigerian performance.

No fabricated country statistic

There is no Nigeria equivalent of our verified Kenya IP-range figure on this page. We will add a Nigeria coverage statistic only after the underlying reference data has been verified.

That distinction is intentional: market context is not the same thing as AfricaLatency measurement.
